Chubb is seeking a Risk Evaluation Consultant in support of U.S. based 3rd party vendor work, with flexibility, to be located within the Eastern and/or Western territories. The Risk Evaluation Consultant will be responsible for using a variety of approved information sources to determine risk acceptability, catastrophic potential and appropriate business decisions while maintaining a timely and quality product. The conclusions outlined in the inspection report will allow underwriting to make informed business decisions about policy limits, rating needs, and overall account exposure. Position Responsibilities:
  • Develop appropriate replacement cost on a home by reviewing information provided by approved 3rd party data vendors, or public information. Establish the home(s) classification as well as cost per square foot of living area(s) based on individualized characteristics, size, location, age, and construction. Using same process, review and price other structures and hardscape.
  • Complete appropriate supplements, based on geographical location of home.
  • Evaluate physical risk characteristics of report and make necessary loss mitigation suggestions/requirements, to help improve a risk.
  • Provide monthly feedback on 3rd party reports, which is used to improve vendor quality.
  • Collaborate with and respond to all internal and external business partners within 1-2 business days to help resolve issues effectively.
  • Prioritize inspection requests, demands and deadlines relative to email, month-end reports, and inspection branch inbox items.
  • Be an active participant in all team calls and meetings.
  • Required Skills:Candidates must possess the following required skills in order to be considered for this position:

  • manage multiple deadlines and priorities while delivering exceptional service to internal and external customers
  • meet or exceed deadlines for submitting inspections

  • willingness to embrace and proactively influence traditional and non-traditional valuation methods
  • Candidates must possess:

  • Educational and Experiential Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of prior experience in a similar role
  • OR prior appraisal or risk consulting experience
